SUGGESTIONS:
- Whole Group Webbing of what they know about the topic. Use the document camera or large chart paper. Write a topic in the center of the paper, draw a circle around it, and chart what participants say about the topic using a web graphic organizer.
- Webbing Activity (kinesthetic): Participants literally create a web with yarn. Download the document for directions.

- Ask a question. Have participants write an individual response, share with a partner, then share with the group.
- Degree of Agreement: Have some statements on the document camera that challenge participants' philosophies or feelings about the topic. Have them move to four corners based on their level of agreement: Strongly agree, agree, disagree, strongly disagree. Have them discuss with others why they chose the Degree of Agreement. Then ask them to share with the whole group.
